Frankfurt S-Bahn: S1, S8 & S9 Route

This add-on provides a detailed recreation of the S-Bahn Rhein-Main network as it appeared in 2018. It features approximately 95 kilometers of track and 26 stations, covering the lines between Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof and Wiesbaden Hauptbahnhof.

Route Overview

The route spans across Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate, incorporating the following lines:

• S1: Operates from Frankfurt to Wiesbaden via Frankfurt-Höchst.
• S8: Connects Frankfurt to Wiesbaden via Frankfurt Airport and Mainz Hbf.
• S9: Runs between Frankfurt and Wiesbaden via Frankfurt Airport and Mainz-Kastel.

The simulation includes the complex subterranean platforms of Frankfurt Hbf and the Frankfurt Airport Fernbahnhof, which facilitates long-distance services. The route is set prior to the opening of Gateway Gardens, allowing for travel over the original airport approach.
