Product overview

This Isn't Just Tower Defense provides access to a strategy title that blends traditional tower defense mechanics with elements of direct unit control and resource management. Players defend a central objective against waves of advancing enemies by constructing stationary fortifications and managing mobile forces.

Gameplay mechanics

The core experience focuses on tactical placement and real-time decision-making through several primary systems:

• Defensive construction: Placement of specialized towers with distinct fire rates, ranges, and damage types.
• Active unit management: Ability to influence the battlefield through controllable characters or units beyond static structures.
• Resource economy: Gathering of materials or currency during combat to fund upgrades and repairs.
• Wave progression: Increasing difficulty levels that require adjustments to defensive layouts and unit positioning.

Characteristics

The game emphasizes spatial awareness and prioritization. Players must account for enemy pathing, environmental obstacles, and the specific strengths or weaknesses of different adversary types to maintain their perimeter.
