Game overview

Everwind is a first-person sandbox survival RPG developed by Enjoy Studio S.A. and published by Bohemia Interactive. Players build and pilot a flying island-ship as a mobile base, exploring a procedurally generated world of floating islands. The game entered Steam Early Access on March 17, 2026, and supports solo and co-op play for up to four players.

Gameplay

The core loop combines base building, resource gathering, crafting, and combat across a voxel-based world:

• The flying island-ship functions as a mobile home and workshop. Players build, upgrade, and expand it as they progress, with a maximum configurable size and full destructibility across the environment.
• Resources are gathered from floating islands and used to craft tools, equipment, and base structures.
• Dungeons contain enemies, loot, and hidden treasures and can be explored solo or with the full co-op party.
• RPG progression includes equipment upgrades, magical abilities, and alchemy.
• Character creation allows adjustment of facial features, hairstyle, and skin tone.

Progression is structured around altitude: improving the ship unlocks access to higher, more challenging islands, which in turn yield materials needed for further upgrades.

World and environment

The world is procedurally generated and built entirely in a voxel style, making it fully destructible. Players can reshape islands and structures according to their needs. The planned full release is targeted for Q1 2027, with new content — including additional crafting items, enemies, islands, and a farming system — to be added during Early Access based on player feedback.
