Elden Ring: Game of the Year 2022

Elden Ring is the newest FromSoftware Inc. game, a spin-off of the Dark Souls series that tells a separate story, but introduces many of the same mechanics that hardcore players have been loving for years now. The game tells a fantasy story of a broken world in which you - the Tarnished - must go on a quest to reforge the Elden Ring, become the Elden Lord, and restore balance to the Lands Between.

Hidetaka Miyazaki, the creative director of FromSoftware and maker of the Dark Souls series, delivers his ultimate masterpiece with Elden Ring - a fast-paced action RPG where even the slightest mistake means resetting back at the last Site of Grace.

Who is Elden Ring for?

Critically acclaimed and praised by both players and critics, Elden Ring definitely isn’t a game for everyone. Like with all souls-like titles, Elden Ring gameplay features a steep learning curve and high difficulty level, but if you’re prepared to push through it, the game will reward you with intense boss fights, tons of powerful spells and weapons to use, and gorgeous sights of an enormous open world that can be freely explored.

You’ll like Elden Ring if you are:

• Prepared to die - a lot.

• Looking for a rewarding challenge with complex character customization

• Excited to see what FromSoftware and George R.R. Martin created together

With original lore created by George R.R. Martin

Elden Ring features a world and characters co-created by George R.R. Martin, who crafted a detailed history of the Lands Between that game designers filled with vibrant characters. The world of Elden Ring is a post-apocalyptic fantasy land, filled with unholy abominations and mad gods, with its story told through environmental clues, dialogue hints, and secrets for the players to discover.

As of the end of 2022, Elden Ring sold over 17.5 million copies worldwide, and has won the top award at The Game Awards 2022, earning the title of the Game of the Year. You can play Elden Ring on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
