Crusader Kings II: Legacy of Rome (PC) Steam Gift - GLOBAL

Crusader Kings II: Legacy of Rome is the second major expansion for the critically acclaimed Crusader Kings II strategy RPG, focusing on the Byzantine Empire and its rich historical context. This expansion offers numerous new features that enrich the gameplay experience, particularly emphasizing the political and military aspects of ruling an empire in medieval times.

Key Features:

• Intricate faction system that allows players to join or manage factions to influence or challenge their liege, replacing simple rebellions with complex factional revolts.

• Introduction of retinues, elite standing armies that provide a professional military force independent of traditional levies. Retinue sizes scale with military technology and manpower and they reinforce in the field.

• Streamlined mobilization system that simplifies raising levies by focusing on larger levies raised directly from a player’s direct vassals.

• Appointment of Orthodox patriarchs within Orthodox kingdoms and empires, giving religious leadership more player control as opposed to dependency on Constantinople’s patriarch.

• Leadership traits and military commander skills take on greater importance in battles, with more traits added to enhance strategic depth.

• Byzantine-themed events and decisions inject historical flavor, including notable mechanics like restoring the Roman Empire and mending the Great Schism.

• Self-Improvement Ambitions allow players to actively improve their ruler’s skills or personal traits over time.

Legacy of Rome transforms gameplay for players controlling the Byzantine Empire, providing a more politically intricate, militarily robust, and culturally immersive medieval strategy experience.
