About the base game:

Exiled and left for dead in a hostile land, you are freed by the legendary warrior Conan himself. Use your wits to survive and turn this situation around. Conan Exiles is a survival game based on the incredible world created by Robert E. Howard. Are you strong and determined enough to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their women?

Vivid, cruel world. The Hyborian Age was not a time for those meek of heart and frail of body. This was an era when monsters beyond mortal understanding roamed the lands, and bandits or mercenary bands enforced the rule of tyrannical kings and queens. And you are thrown right into the worst place to be, without weapons, allies, or solid armour on your back. Well, it's time to do something about it, isn't it?
